First ever Brush

Now that Megha has started teething, its time to brush her teeth :)
For the first few days she simply wouldnt open her mouth. But everyday I started brushing and since Monday (today is Thursday) I diligently made her sit on our guest washroom counter and slowly brushed her teeth after dinner. Today (21March2013) for the first time she opened her mouth without fussing! Yippie!

Now I have slowly teach her how to spit out as I have been brushing without paste. For me to use paste, I should first teach her how to spit out. Soon...I am sure soon I will come back with a success story :)

Here is her first ever brush (by NUBY with soft spikes for gentle teeth and gums) :

Her teeth!

I mentioned several times before that Megha was born with neonatal teeth. Story is in the link attached.
Just before we went to the dentist for the first time, we took a picture.
And now...here it is! Her dentist at that time told us that the teeth we are removing might or might not come first. As suspected, these two teeth we removed at 6 weeks never came back! Here is how she looks like right now :) On top she has 6 teeth (4 big and 2 just popping out) and below 2.
Now, fill in the blanks ...he he he I saved the teeth we removed in a little treasure box, which I intend to treasure and show it to Meghas children :)

Megha goes sledding!

Over the weekend we went to our cottage. There they had so much more snow than what we have in Milton. When we go there, all we do is relax and this trip was no exception. In the evening on Saturday, we went for a drive and when we returned, Megha stepped on a sled for the very first time! It was on Saturday, 15th March 2013. She turns 15 months that day.

Can you believe that little angel is the one who was on a sled?

She had soooo much fun! She held on to the support and was smiling broadly! It was very sunny though but because of the snow around, we felt blinded. Here is a picture...pardon me, I think the flash didnt work. I thought I took several of them...

That reminds me, these days Megha loves to play with my phone. She even knows how to scroll the pictures; could she have deleted them? Emmmmm

Jack and Jill

I think almost every kid knows this rhyme.  Anand started teaching her this rhyme since the time she was a day old. As her head slowly gained enough strength for it to be without our support, Anand used to slowly lift her hands while singing this rhyme.

Now when I say "Jack and Jill"...she lifts her hands for "went up the hill" :)

The Little Steps

Megha is such a careful baby! She knows exactly how to walk but is so afraid of getting hurt that she usually prefers crawling.

She has been taking baby steps for a while now; 2 steps here and there but her first full fledged walking began on 12march2013!! Was sooooo happy! Anand captured this on video! I am unable to post the link here somehow but just wanted to make sure that I write the date down so that we don't forget this big milestone!!

She walked!! ALL by herself! I am so happy and proud of her :)
Above is a picture taken a day before at her day care. I am unable to upload the walking video!
